That excerpt is very reminiscent of Fosse, who also makes you feel like you’re on a ride you can’t get off because there are no periods. I’m intrigued enough to give this one a try, especially at 144 pages.
Yes, I haven’t read Fosse but it seems common to Norway/Central Europe by whatever route. @John W Schneider liked this way more than me and my sense is that it might play better in the context of some of her other work, which apparently covers similar autobiographical ground.
